Batteries store energy to ensure power supply in all circumstances (day or night, clear or overcast sky). A battery used with solar panels or a wind turbine is a slow discharge battery (also called a solar battery). These batteries are specifically designed for solar or wind applications. They do not have the same characteristics as a car battery for example, they discharge more gradually and better withstand frequent shallow discharges.
In the event of a power outage and for isolated sites, storage batteries are the only solution to meet energy needs.
Depending on the energy consumed, we can determine the capacity of the battery and the charger required. Power Me takes care of the study which will determine the storage capacity that suits you.
Depending on the type of charger:
- By STEG network about 30 minutes
- For photovoltaic chargers, the more panels you have, the more the charging time will be reduced.
Between 1 and 5 years depending on the battery
A BMS (Battery Management System) is supplied with the batteries, and the charger is linked to a mobile application for easy management.
No operating costs
- DOD gel battery 50% up to 8 years
- DOD 90% lithium battery up to 20 years
